She was involved in war with Frederick II in both the Seven Year War and the War of Austrian Succession.
Theme 2- Reforming her country
She made many political, social, economic, military, and even religious reforms that helped her country.
Theme 3- No Religious Toleration
She didn’t allow religion to be tolerated because she felt that it affected the sufficiency of education.
Maria Theresa was an "enlightened" abolitionist, who despite all her tradgedies and obsitcles,still became a great emperor . She faced grief from her father death , she faced doubt because she was first taken the crown on short notice and the first woman to tea ethe crown .on top of this she was defeated many times in wars , and during one of these wars lost one of the wealthiest cities their was . Still with the poor city I'm Hapsburg , she prospered and turned the poor city into a strong government with a stable economic structure , in which because of her success she could leave to her son Joseph the second to continue her reforms and succeed in their family's honor. Her legacy or impact on story would be becoming one of the first succesful emperors of Austria .
Timeline
2/12/1736- Married Francis 13days after they were engagement.
9/6/1738- Maria and Francis had 14 children 3 of which died at a very young age.
9/20/1740- Maria's father died and left everything to her because she was the oldest child and she had no brotheres.
11/21/1740- The accession made her husband co-ruler of Austrian and Bohemian meaning he can become the next emperor of the holy roman empire.
12/16/1740- Maria lost to Fredrick in a war and called him an evil man.
1/1/1741- Maria became the Queen of Hungary
6/25/1741- After becoming queen Maria Failed to maintain allies so when should went. To war with Prussia she lost conrtol of Silesia and Bohemia in a year.
12/6/1756- Austria went to a 7 year war with Prussia to regain Silesia. The war did not help them and they finished where they started.
1/1/1775- Maria's husband Francis died.
5/19/1767- Smallpox attacks Hungary and kills her daughter and daughter-in-law. Maria was greatly sickened by it but survived.
