Domestic Policy:
Moved France to abolutism.
1. Henry was a legitimate heir from the throne.
2. He represented the best hope for those who wanted social stability and those who feared to return to the war.
3. Henry was not tainted like the Guises with a relationship with Spain.

Foreign Policy:
Allowed them to diminish Spanish influences without getting aggressive with them. Henry was able to get Savoy to sign the Treaty by Lyons. Therefore acquiring various territories at the borders of eastern France. He concluded alliances with German Protestant princes, with Lorraine, and the Swiss.

Religious Policy:
Henry the IV had religious toleration. It was the first in the country of France. He was a Protestant that converted to Catholicism to gain the French throne. Henry tried to retain the peace and greatly improved the lives of his subjects through adopted policies. Which made him one of France's most popular leaders.    

Henry's Accomplishments
He brought unity and prosperity to the country after the ruinous in the 16th century about wars of religion. Which hayseed him to make religious policies. Henry IV was the first of the Bourbon Kings of France. His understanding of his people allowed him to be an efficient ruler. Henry was one of the most popular figures in French history for his amorous prospensities as well as his political achievements.

Challenges Henry the IV Faced
Henry was a victim of being the fanaticism he wanted to eradicate. The mediation between Spain and the United Provinces of the Netherlands which led to the conclusion of the Twelve Years' Truce that happened in 1609. (Taylor Carlton)

Henry IV-
Henry IV is considred one of the greatest kings of France. He ended the French Wars of Religion.  He was a calvanist but converted to catholocism to satisfy 90% or more of the popuation of France.  He married Marguerite de Valois to try and reconcile all of France.  It was his wedding that brought both sides together and made an even deeper split between the sides.  Him been catholic was the only thing that saved him.  When he escaped Paris, though, he convertied back to calvanist.  He was crowned when Henry III died.  He converted back to catholocism in 1593 which re-established the catholic king on the throne and also ending the war with Spain in 1598 gave Henry the freedom to re-build France.  (sam mackell)
